Laparoscopic Gastric Sleeving Surgery
About Gastric Sleeving Surgery
Sleeve gastrectomy is a restrictive surgery that permanently reduces the size of the stomach by approximately 85% but leaves all openings intact. During this procedure, the surgeon creates a small, sleeve shaped stomach. It is about the size of a banana, and larger than the stomach created by the Roux-en-Y Bypass. Sleeve gastrectomy is an emerging procedure with very promising early results for our patients.
