Our Bariatric Surgeons

Jason Reynoso, MD

"Recent research has helped us to understand why we regain weight after dieting. A major goal of the free seminar is to educate the public why diets often don't result in sustained weight loss, and how Bariatric Surgery coupled with counseling can help keep the weight off and improve overall health."

Jason Reynoso, MD

Prior to joining the Scottsdale Healthcare Bariatric Center, Dr. Reynoso held appointments as Clinical Attending General Surgery at the VA Medical Center in Omaha and Research Associate at the Center for Advanced Surgical Technology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

A graduate of Arizona State University, he earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb. Dr. Reynoso then returned to Arizona, serving progressively as intern, resident and chief resident of general surgery at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. While there, he was honored with the General Surgery Residency Program’s Wendell B. Whitacre MD Outstanding Chief Resident Award.

Following his residency, Dr. Reynoso completed a fellowship in advanced minimally invasive surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
